General information for Members

Established over 68 years ago we have an active membership, and you can be sure of some good tennis, good sportsmanship and a very warm hello!  We welcome players of all abilities; you can play just for fun and wellbeing, or if you like a challenge, play at club level too.

About our club

We have three all weather courts, located by the Memorial Hall in Astrop Road, next to the football and cricket pitches. The courts can be accessed via the Memorial Hall car park or from the Main Road (roadside parking only).

Gate Keys

The gate to the courts is padlocked for security.  Members over 18 can buy their own key for £8. Parent/guardian can request a key for under 18s.

Club sessions

Club sessions are held every

  • Sunday, Monday and Wednesday

Members usually start around 5:30pm until finish, depending on the weather!  Additional sessions are also often arranged - join our WhatsApp group to keep in touch. 

Team tennis - home games, are played on Thursday from 6pm

New Members - meet and greet

We know it can sometimes be a little daunting joining a new club so we are more than happy to meet and greet new members. 

 

We'll introduce you to other players and show you the ropes!  We can even lend you a racket to get you started.

Paying your membership fee

Please complete your membership form and pay asap.

Our preferred method of payment is by bank transfer - this saves us both time and banking charges.

Club rules

All we ask is that you consider other players on the courts.  Most of our guidance is common sense but please respect these guidelines and you will find friendly, competitive tennis more fun than ever.
