All members and coaching staff

  • Anyone attending the Club should pre-assess themselves for any COVID-19 symptoms and if concerned, follow the Government Test and Trace guidance.  You must also notify the Tennis Club Welfare Officer, Helen Harman on 077951 96306

Clubhouse

  • The clubhouse will only be used for accessing balls. Member’s equipment is to be left by the side of the courts. The Coach and his assistants can have access for their equipment during scheduled coaching sessions

Use of courts

  • We ask players are considerate of others when using the courts.  A member of the Committee will usually be on hand to provide guidance on court usage if necessary.

Maintain Social Distancing

  • Players from different households can now play together, with a maximum of 12 players on court.

  • Stay at least two metres away from other players at all times (including during play, when taking breaks and before and after play)

  • Do not make physical contact with other players (such as shaking hands or high five)

  • Stay on your side of court and avoid changing ends, or agree to change ends at opposite sides of the net

  • Avoid chasing the ball down to another court if other players are using it

  • For doubles, consider agreeing in advance which player takes the shot if a ball travels to the centre of the court

Equipment and surroundings

  • Wash your hands thoroughly before going to the courts and when you get home.  In addition you must bring hand sanitizer with you for you before and after play.  Sanitizer will be provided for coaching sessions.

  • Use your own equipment only and wipe down before and after use

  • Avoid touching your face

  • Bring a full water bottle and do not share with others

  • Bring your own tennis balls that are clearly marked with your initials

  • Avoid touching court gates, fences, benches, etc. Use gloves.

  • If waiting to play stand outside the court, on the field and clear of the gates; maintain distance

  • If other players are waiting to play, games should be limited to 30 minutes
